The Dormouse (Order and Chaos)

‘ “You might just as well say,” added the Dormouse, who seemed to be talking in his sleep, “ that ‘I breathe when I sleep’ is the same thing as ‘I sleep when I breathe’!” “It is the same thing with you,” said the Hatter. ' - Lewis Caroll

This passage is from ‘The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland’ by Lewis Carroll and inspired me to create a three dimensional character of the Dormouse, sleeping. He has chaos literally written all over him as he was constructed with various fabrics that had the pages of Alice in Wonderland transferred onto them and twisted whiskers that are machine embroidered quotes from the book. Although words and letters follow an order to create a sentence these sentences may be full of chaos just like the Mad Hatter’s tea party. The Dormouse may look like he’s sleeping calmly if you look a little closer, order becomes chaos.
