This textile piece has been inspired by the theme ‘Coast’, particularly by the litter that is found on the coast and how it effects the environment both on land and in our seas. These bottles represent our oceans and how plastic is polluting them and causing the deaths of sea life.
The processes that have been used are cyanotype, rust dying, machine embroidery and screenprint to create the effect of the sea and the combination of litter.
